PitWeek ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Information We Collect

PitWeek collects minimal information to provide you with the best experience:

  • Anonymous Usage Data: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.
  • Device Information: Basic device information (device type, OS version) to ensure compatibility and improve performance.
  • Calendar Access: If you choose to sync events, we access your device calendar. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
  • Subscription Data: If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment details.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the app
  • To improve user experience through anonymous analytics
  • To process subscriptions via Apple StoreKit
  • To send session reminders and schedule change notifications (with your permission)

Data Storage

  • All racing event data is stored securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore
  • Your personal preferences are stored locally on your device
  • We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties

Third-Party Services

PitWeek uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): For data storage, analytics, and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements to free users. Collects device identifiers and ad interaction data for ad serving. Google Privacy Policy
  • Apple StoreKit: For subscription management

Each service has its own privacy policy that governs the use of your data.

Advertising

PitWeek displays advertisements to users who have not subscribed to PitWeek PRO. These ads are served by Google AdMob. When you grant App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, AdMob may serve personalized ads based on your interests. When you deny tracking, only non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your tracking preference at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Delete your data (use "Reset All Data" in Settings)
  • Opt out of analytics (disable in Settings → Privacy)
  • Cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store

For Users in the European Union (GDPR)

In addition to the rights above, EU users have:

  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at spiderservicedev@gmail.com. Since PitWeek uses anonymous authentication and does not collect personal data linked to your identity, most data rights are exercised directly through the app's Settings screen.

Children's Privacy

PitWeek does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
